Antoinette, why you giving Obama a free ride? You like that he's pro spying, giving away money to rich people, and not prosecuting war crimes? Why are we still in Iraq? Did you hear about the plans for geoengineering? If you're not careful, this place will simply become a caricature of what Dave was about.
Dave was for more and better Democrats, not just attacking easy targets like Hannity, Coulter, Levin, and Limbaugh. If you want this website to grow, you need to also hold fake progressives to the fire. Otherwise, you're just reinventing the wheel and holding up a system which does not encourage thinking outside the box nor democracy.

Hey, we were all Obama-bots, when we had to be. John McCain would have been much worse. But now that he's in, we need to hold the guy's feet to the fire.
While I see merit in going after neocon nutjobs, if we don't also go after the right wing of the Democratic Party, what is the point?
A huge reduction in the military would solve everything. The beauty of that proposal is in its simplicity. The strongest America would be a prosperous one with renewable energies, health care, education, shelter, and fair play for all. Gerry Brown said we could save the environment while creating jobs. The status quo is not our friend. I believe that Obama needs to be pushed left, or else he will be blamed for the malaise in 2012, and we'll be getting a Republican President. Can't you see that? If both parties are the same, or very similar on all the big issues concerning life, death, economics, etc., they'll just keep flip flopping good cop and bad cop.

Antoinette, you say the radical right is the real threat to America. But isn't the fact that lefties, peaceniks, and real progressives are being marginalised the big problem?
Everyone can see how nuts the far right is. But can't you see how far right the Democrats have gone? Shouldn't that be addressed?
Mike Gravel would have been a good choice for President. That he had no chance of winning, that right wing Democrats like Obama and Hillary were the only real choices, to me, speaks to the fact that the far right wing cannot possibly be the real threat. The threat can be found in the corporate and military status quo. That is where the redistribution of wealth needs to take place. Why should anyone believe in Democrats versus Republicans mythology anymore? The Democrats are clearly the lesser of two evils. But evil they remain.
Why isn't the Obama Administration going after the war criminals? If you want to stop illegal wars, you need to prosecute those who were involved.

I also wanted to post a defense of sockrattease. His original chemtrail diary is the perfect example of the gang banging. It was like being at Kos the way people just showed up to attack him and put down his topic.

I wouldnt be 1/2 surprised if it was MBNYC and friendz.

Hey Antoinette, I hope all is well. I sincerely want to follow your rules. The problem is we don't have a free thread to go to with the meta chatter.
I've tried a few times to interact with your posts. I did it here. I did it on the Coulter/abortion thread. I got zero feedback.
That's not a problem. Blogging get be lonely. There's never a guarantee of feedback.
But we could really use an open thread or two a week. One could be totally open, the other could be like a Beat the Blogosphere thread. We have this show in Boston called Beat the Press. It's put together by Emily Rooney, Andy's daughter. We could just substitute blogosphere for press.
I'm checking out some of Dave's older posts. He wanted to devote a day a week to Daily Kos type stuff. He listed sports. He even wanted to give a free speech day for the conspiracy theorists. Dave was definitely a people person. He was starting to understand how anti-democratic the internet has become.
There's great potential here. If you could just throw us out some crumbs.
To the new person, please do not refer to me as a sock rat. I do not troll and do not use sock puppets. This is also not the proper thread to be talking about the meta. Hence, I've asked Antoinette if she could hook us up with an open thread a week.
By the way, it was my "election integrity" stuff that triggered the immediate attacks on me at DKos and then FSZ. Later on I was able to link Fingerit to that disinfo crowd.
I'm not one to shove the "weather mitigation" topic into anyone's face.
Antoinette, MSOC of MyLeftWing has come out with a diary praising Obama. It's the same generic Democratic Underground/Daily Kos herd think where we need to accept that America is right of center, that anyone critical of Obama and our country's direction is out of line.
So how 'bout it Antoinette? Isn't the blind support for Obama misplaced? Where has that gumption gone where people were able to force the end to the Vietnam War? I think it's bad enough that true lefties, peaceniks and progressives have been ostracized. The worst part is to see how people like Moulitsas and O'Connor continually represent themselves as being the left.

Just got in and scanned the NYT to see whats what with the tea parties, and they seem to be as much a nonstarter as the "great peoples rally of 4/2 and/or 4/3 or 4/4, or wtf" that also fizzled.
People are still trying to figure out where they are in relation to this "historic 2nd great depression" mess, which like seemingly everything here in the oughts is hyper hyped out of all proportion to reality, for whatever reason or purpose.
O'Bama, of course has a perfect reason to hype it, much as Bush did the fear engendered on 9/11.
Of course, O'bama is not a one noter like Bush, and he has lately begun to pull his rhetoric back from the brink, as is necessary to instill some feeling amongst the people that is not optimism exactly, but also not we are partying like its 1933.
So, what does the lack of overt rebellion from either right or left tell us about this modern age we are all passing through?
One, is that people like O'Bama. Sure, the tea partiers hate him and so do their only tinily teenily slightly more enlightened first cousins, the whiteysphere, but look at the numbers. These two groups represent zilch. The vast majority of people are going to give the guy a chance.
Bet on it.
And why? Well, because he is young, smart, articulate and handsome. Or, alternatively, because the vast majority of people are daft with no reason for living except to befoul the environment.
So what? Either way, Obama's getting the same chance that they all get, and then some, especiaslly when they are young, smart and handsome.
It appears the grim economic outlook has brightened, even if its merely a false spring. Still, this may be exactly the type of recession many predicted for the infoboob years:
sharp, short, with the negative effects exarcebating and feeding the quick, steep descent, the result of the information hysteria unique to our dubious age.

*** Obama is clever to string it along. The first thing GW did was talk down the economy which lowered the expectations. GW wanted folks to think that the recession was inevitable due to Clinton's economics. GW and Co. then placated the masses with the lower interest rates and refinance boom. I'm fairly sure the ptb's are not gonna allow us to slip into a depression. They do not want riots. They are pro-status quo.
*** It boils down to that the world is economically interlocked. If one part is hurting, it's felt many thousands of miles away. That means status quo rules. China cannot afford for the US market to crumble. They are as much blackmailed by the US to buy the damn treasury notes as the US is dependent to let their human right and environmental violations slide.
I've been living poor for the last few months. One learns a lot through that. Each meal is savoured. One figures out how to buy rice, fruits, vegetables, you know, the staples. Like pasta. Man, there's so much more to live than running around in these rich, handsome, fake circles. The obvious solution is to drastically reduce the military. The rightwingers love to say that Ronald Reagan brought down the communist empire. But it was simply a matter of the Ruskies realising they had to cut back on the military, because they were broke. If I'm wrong on that, I'd love to hear other explanations.
I think the problem is too much is dependent on the military-industrial complex and wars. It seems rather simple to me. Terrorism needs to be treated as crime. War needs to be abolished.

I caught Jack's Smirking Revenge in another lie concerning Dave. I went to CometMan's blog and Jack was there claiming how Dave liked him so much. But we know the proof. You must be aware of the entry Dave made here giving you kudos for confronting Jack. Dave even said that somehow he was grateful to Jack in a strange way for his gangsta thing, where he acted like a coward with no principles and morals.
It's also clear as lemonade that MLW is no real outlet. She used to have Armando and the mysoginist ThereIsNoSpoon with full editorial powers. I'm sorry I got all meta all the time. That's really not me. I know you probably feel like it's a been there, done that. There is certainly a burnout factor for anyone who goes down that route. I wont be posting anymore at FSZ> Whats the point? Everything I have prophecied about the whiteysphere (and then some) has been revealed. There is little I could add at this point. I know this will be construed as I chickened out, or was driven off the site (there will be a flurry of loosers trying to grab credit for that) but the fact is, its all there, for anyone with eyes to see.
For those caught up in the imbroglio, especially on the side of intolerance, well, we already know they have no eyes and even if I could restore their site, they would refuse to see. They revel in intolerance and blindness.
So whats the point?
I like this blog. I dont care if we are "hijacking" the threads. If Antoinette wants to ban me or you, or wtf, so be it.
I can feel the spirit of dave lurking here, and of course I remember that he gave me props on more than one occasion for truth telling. dave existed on a separate plane, with an expansive sense of wright and wong beyond the normal limitations, thats why he got me and the others didnt get him and never get me.

And I guess Alec left for good at that point? And Beach and Vox, too? Alec was growing on the job there, unlike the other kos kops, who were shrinking.
Smart guy, no wonder he gave up.
I know the standard response to this is, c'mon, Matty Jack's just a kid, he's gonna screw up or else its "if you dont like it here start your own blah, blah, blog" but remember, I gave him a chance when he banned me and made up fibs in Nov, his fibs responsible for humiliating Sabrina (with her meltdown "stalking" charges against me), I gave him a second chance after he banned dave. I gave him a third chance after he tried to grab some or all of the credit for the UGOG bannings by MAMZ, I gave him enuff chances to act like a man. Since the comment deleting spisode, he went hysterical, again never owning his BS, but pushing his entire blog to the meltdown point with his latest "donkeytale-style" joke. Four strikes and yur out, regardless.
I like it here. I'm not posting much, not trying to be offensive, staying true to dave's own style, in fact. If she wanst us to move on, she can come and say so. If she stays silent, as she has, then I am guessing we have tacit approval to remain.

Melvin revealed his inner "Ernst Roehm" during his meltdown over Matty's ridiculous attacks againt me, you and n00m after he got caught lying again (the lies confirmed by pager, of all people---she viewed MattyJack's comment before it was deleted and termed it " a tad sketchy on the facts" and wished for MattyJack to come clean on this point also) and called for bannings.
Then he stalked off angrily when MattyJack didnt take his advice (but pretended too), stayed away for a week, and only returned during MattyJack's "donkeytale-style" "joke" dairy. Melvin was re-inflamed at that point for a couple daze, even after MattyJack "explained" his "joke".
Now he's one of the missing and presumed dead. I'm sure he blames me, because to admit that he was trickfucked and manipulated by MattyJack's little game-playing would be too much for him to bear at this stage.
I hope he seeks help for his anger and intolerance of the "whackjobs" (which being gay and a whackjob himself, you would think he might already possess some understanding).
Melvin reminds me of the old skkkool gayz, circa "the boyz in the Band" the self hating, self destructive stereotype. Sort of the antithesis of 4kdtongue's relaxed, at home in his own skin homosexuality.
Melvin, if you are reading this, or commentman (who I know is reading this) please let Melvin know I am concerned about him. And that he made the wright choice dumping Mattyjack, even if he thinks he is dumping me and my fellow trollz. Sometimes, when you are lucky, illusions can save lives. Generally, they are death in life bringing, but for basket cases, illusions often can be the only salvation, when the truth is a self bludgeoning device.

I didn't read much at FSZ. I liked abbeysbooks and donkeytale. I was into my diaries. I liked reading the archives to catch up on the meta that hadn't been scrubbed.
So Jack basically banned a guy for expressing his freedom of speech at a free speech zone. Otherwise, Lauren S had broken this "unwritten rule" all the time. The rules were nothing illegal, no spamming, and no pedophilia. Maybe the place was meant to be something else, to grow, but with Dave's expose on it, then the follow-up by myself and DonkeyTale, the decision was made to pull the plug. Now it is just another soapblox domain. Whatever Peeder had accomplished is now deleted and destroyed, if in fact anything at all real had ever been accomplished with the Political Flesh Feast. I doubt that PFF actually meant anything. Otherwise, I doubt Peeder would have deleted the domain. Maybe others have different opinions. A lot of those FSZ people aren't even anti Kos like Triv33, Pager, DeeDogg, and Kestrel9000. I wish I could spell- ces la voie?

The meme going around is that this place and/or dfq2 is macabre. I agree with you that meta can be too much and counter-productive. I simply tried my best to help finish up what Dave did. The big picture is what counts most. Political consultants/lawyers are all over DKos. Dave figured out the key players and tied them to the top of the DKos foodchain.
I, too, think it's admirable to try to carry on Dave's vision. I think he would have toned down the meta over time. Maybe if Jack and FSZ hadn't used him for their own agendas, he would've wrapped things up a lot sooner.
I miss that dude. I would have loved to talk some sports with him. I don't think it's macabre to post the available videos of him showing how decent a guy he was. I don't think it's macabre to highlight his blogging career. It was extra cool what he did to Hannity, Lieberman and others. His writing was very good. It is a darn shame that DKos couldn't just let a big tent develop. It really makes me wonder about Kos' cia connections and the other stuff along with his support for KosKops. With Armando, ThereIsNoSpoon, Dana Houle, and so many others, I am grateful I never got into DKos for an extended period of time. It is very important that Dave's story, and all others such as Francis', Marisacat's, DT's, mine- there are too many of us to list... I simply feel that the story has been figured out.
Maybe a forum would be best to have a certain formula for meta, sports, politics, history, current events, etc.. Not to be anal about it... I think a good forum could develop. It would take a lot of luck and having great leadership and vision at the top.

I have to be really honest with you here, sockrat: my role in these events is finished. The story has been written. It is etched on FSZ, at least until it gets deleted. It now wrights itslef without me.
But hereis what I wanted to say to you, confidentially:
everything is connected in a circle. Everything and everybody. The circle rolls continuously from top to bottom and back around again. It is never ending.
And everything in that circle, the people, the non people, the trollz, the kos kops, and everythng else, needs everything and everybody else within that circle.
Its not a conditional need. Its not a need with motive. Its more basic than that. We need the connection. The winners need the looosers. The loooooosers need the wiineners. Both. Equally. Admin needs the trollz, the regular people need the whackjobs, and vice versa.
When the connection is unnaturally severed is when you have real issues and problems.
This means that a condition of life is that we must connect with lotsa stuff we dont like, stuff we despise and stuff we fear. We must connect with people who are brilliant and diabolical, who are stupid and lucky, who are rich for no reason and most of all, those who are undeservedly poor.
Circular connections exist multitudinously, and are ever more creatable in the infoboob years. overlapping.
The circle has been broken unnaturally at FSZ. This is not a positive development for a number of reasons and doesnt bode well psychically for those who either gleefully or unwittingly

OK, I'll talk some sports with you. I was a pretty fair baseball player as a kid, playing the hotly competitive youth leagues of SoCal in the 60s. I started on the varsity squad during my juniour year in high skkkkool but then lost my eligibity to play as senior becuase I stopped attending class.
But what I mot remember was my sophomore year, not so much because I led the JV team in batting but because of our coach, Coach Simonian.
He wasnt really a baseball guy at all, but had been hired primarily as an asst. coach for varsity football. All the coachs were assigned one team at one level for all the other sports seasons.
Coach Simonian was a dark, hairy, powerfully built little Armenian with a hilariously incongruent high pitched voice. He would saunter through the locker room after every game, win or lose, in his jockstrap while the players showered, patting fannies and offering encouragement---this bantam gorilla with his soprano voice...and man, that dude could part the hair all the way down his back, if you know what I mean. What a site!
Bottom line, I had a great year that year, and was awarded "Player of the Year" after the season....and all I can remember now is "Coach Simian" after the game in his jock.

I was watching the Celtics lose. I was also at my forum writing the same exact thing at my place before reading the new FSZ threads or much of the other stuff. Yes, a lot of shit is happening in real time. I definitely saw how Jack co-opted my ideas. I'm seeing it all. It's gonna take a bit of time for everything to come out in the wash. I do feel vindicated. I have been talking about this kind of thing for over three years. I first sensed it going on at Huffington Post when the Plame thing was going on.
I haven't even finished reading through this one post of yours, just saw your words that my stuff had been co-opted. Yes it has. I'm not buying what's being sold. My initial impression is that this new MattyJack shit is all smokes and mirrors. My gut instinct remains that he is part of the UGOGs, some form of controlled opposition, and that Dave got in the way, then I did, and you supported my rights, as I you, and lately we've been a good team. Then I became a player when I shone a bright light on Brett Kimberlin and his ties to that same movement. A well-known freelance reporter said I became a player. I spoke with that dude for two hours about how corrupt the internet is.
And now it seems that it was the BradBlog who gave my cyberstalker my real name and email address. What a country. Not.

Yeah, but why did supersoling make me out to be Satan's love child with Ann Coulter rather than Reese Witherspoon when I first arrived at MyLeftWing? The other day, there was a deleted FSZ thread I wanted to try to find via the wayback machine. It was an old one, past six months, the time it takes for archive.org to do its thing. The message was that there was a robots text block on access put by the domain's administrator. MattyJack is gonna delete that whole place, or he's gonna make sure nothing will show up that he and the people he works for doesn't want to be seen. He can delete our individual posts. I think he can even request search engine caches to be deleted. I had a huge thread at Democratic Underground exposing Brett Kimberlin. DU deleted the whole thing. That was why I went to DKos. Dude, I am for real.

Hiya Donkster and everyone else. Thanks for your responses. I think what folks need to realise is, if they decide to delve into this stuff, they need to place comments in the given moments. If not, we can misconstrue someone's intent. If something doesn't add up, we needs to ask what was going on at that exact time.
I have been banned from MLW. I was given no warning. If they wanted me to tone done my language, I would have. For the record, they swarmed me with insults and bad words about my character. I went eye for an eye, so to speak.
One thing I am proud of is sticking up for Francis against KarmaStench and for getting in on confronting ThereIsNoSpoon and MSOC. MaryScott should not have dissed activists for wearing Mumia t-shirts, if you get my drift. Hey, kiss Obama's ass all you want. But don't write some kind of opus that sounds like it comes from a triangulation manual.
Hold Obama's feet to the fire. If you want him to win the second term, there is no other choice, imho. Or continue to isolate true progressives and peaceniks. So Jack's Smirking Revenge is from Long Island. That is ironic. Dave seems to have gotten Fingerit's attention by going after certain Long Island rightwing arses named Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin.
Newbies should check out dfq's "Lessons of Long Island" diary at DKos. Also check out his series from many months before then to do with his adventures with Hannity's friend Mark Levin. I found it very obvious that Fingerit was running interference for rightwingers affiliated with Fox News.
Now, there is a poster at MLW named Phil I. Stine, and he appears to be a producer for Fox News. Hmmm. So Jack is from Long Island. I've always sensed since I delved into this stuff that FSZ has been a scripted opposition to the KosKops. I think Dave was headed in that direction also, if he wasn't already there. And I see how MSOC even used to read at Political Flesh Feast. The Fox producer is her good friend. Other good friends of hers appear to be political operatives who are pro-Daily Kos such as Karma Fish and "ThereIsNoRape if the woman is drunk"- wow.
I guess I feel like you DT, in that the stories kinda tell themselves. And even if there is wholesale deletions, scrubbings and prunings, enough of us have blabbered out our own interpretations to let folks know something is very fried with the blogosphere.

I'll add one more thing, because it's four am and I need the shut-eye. Here is where Jack has messed up. How come a "crazy kook" all of a sudden becomes some ingenius political operative. I was reading through some of those FSZ threads. "Jack's" gangsta type voice is gone. His best bet would have been to just keep his mouth shut.
So why all this attention to what is being said here? I see only one logical explanation. I have two masters. I may be a bit goofy, but I have nailed this story. Since the reader decides, the decision has been made to not ignore me. So they get in these last pokes, vox humana and supersoling say whatever with none of it being grounded on reality, and then the whole thing gets pushed into the historic memory hole.
But seriously, how does a "kook" like me all of a sudden become a paid operative sent in to cover up Dave's story? The donkeytale angle I can see as plausible, especially with him continuing to call me a sock rat.

I am new to this curmudgeon versus curmudgette thing. Didn't Blogging Curmudgeon used to make a lot of good posts? If so, and same with Curmudgette, then what explanation is there other than a cointelpro-like infestation? I am tired of people like Susan who don't take the goodwill effort to help out. She didn't make one post here while Dave was alive. That was a factoid I found quite striking at the time she told me you were bad news. Dude, I can't throw anyone under the bus unless they make it apparent by their own words and actions, such as with Fingerit, Bouldin, and Company. As for Pinche Tejano, I have seen some inconsistencies from him. I don't trust one person at FSZ and MLW at this point. They all seem to be missing the big picture. Shadowthief was a character, a very astute blogger who was able to do multiple personas, even females, quite well. I never had a problem with him, of course, but I did out him as "Veronica teh Viking" on PFF, and Byron clinched by exposing that a picture "veronica" posted of herslef was actually some picture of another female on flickr.
He was at FSZ for awile in the beginning. His genius is that he could be anyone of us, anywhere. Remember the Nov banning? Jack blamed it on "shadowthief" altho he wasnt posting there anymore by that point. Its like cometman thinking anyone who remotely makes a point that I mite make at FSZ is actually me using a sock. I dont use socks either. Ballard died today; always meant to read him but never have. The enlightenment belief in inevitable social (in part because of the wonders of technology) progress was one of the things he was most 'anti'. I remember that realizing that same thing was a big step forward in the growth of my realism.

If I had to guess, I would say this ShadowThief dude could be Number5. Now did ShadowThief write lies? Or was he sincerely trying to make it a better world through blogging? Here's an example of what I'm saying. Look at Brett Kimberlin. The guy is a proven con artist. On one level it would be easy to suggest he may be part of cointelpro. Isn't cointelpro all about infiltrating peace movements and destroying them from within? But then again, he may simply be a confidence man with cointelpro-like characteristics. Fingerit could be a political consultant thug with cointelpro-like characteristics. The only person who appears to have been proven to be involved with the FBI is Hal Turner. But that is where things get strange. For who is Hal a buddy of? Sean Hannity from Long Island. Maybe Tejano is a spook?

I don't understand how the Blogging Curmudgeon simply disappeared from all these blogs as a result of Curmudgette's alleged cyber-sleuthing. The only quotes that seem worthy of being added to this discussion are from Jack's Smirking Revenge, as he tries to return order to his totally discredited website.

Here's one more thing I'd like to add. The UGOG website is still active. They have in recent times continued with their assaults on specific usernames.
At DKos I noticed that the UGOGs not banned like Bouldin, Shriver {DadaNation}, and TaylorMattD are playing dumb. I saw how Pager and TayloyMattD had some sort of reconciliation.
Jack is trying to twist this as myself covering up the story of DailyKos and political consultants perverting democratic processes by turning the focus solely on Dave. What I see are insidiously crafter rabbit holes and limited hangouts are being spun to prevent newbies, fence-sitters, and interested reporters from getting to the true story.
What Jack is doing to me is nothing new. I've seen other internet fakes before this on numerous occasions co-opt the messages of sincere bloggers. E.G. There have been fake neo-nazis spreading divide and conquer hate dialogue talking about cointelpro. Look at the UGOG/KosKops or even go further back and look at the DKos career of Armando. They co-opt the idea of troll busting. As to the recent developments, it can be seen that Jack has co-opted my true motivation as a {retired} sociologist, who has been trying to out the established fact that lawyers and political consultants are perverting freedom of speech and association on the internet.

Granted MLW allows for a bit of whining about DKos, but MeSOC clearly puts a lid on how much opposition one can muster against the Evil Orange. With KarmaFish and ThereIsNoSpoon being MaryScott's close friends, not to mention the Fox News producer, Phil I. Stine, along with how Francis Holland's work covering MAMZ was completely and unfairly trashed, MyLeftWing appears to be some kind of honey pot for those who get fed up with the hate dialogue at DKos.

Hi abbeysbooks. I hope you are able to see FSZ for what it truly is and stop posting there. I think in due time you will be able to find a new and better place for expression. Perhaps you could post here more often, and then at some point a forum which enables greater dialogue and opportunities to write diaries could complement your work here.
I think the #1 problem is information overload combined with divide and conquer tactics. The blogospheric ptb's do not want individuals to form groups in which integrity, critical thinking, and respect form the bedrock for our associations and results.

But to get back to my point before. When individuals work together in good faith and flesh out ideas, in let's say a safe haven rather than in a fake free speech zone, then the insidious elements are less able to pigeon-hole us.
The attacks on Dave were all about putting his ideas through a cookie-cutter. The lesson of Dave and of anyone who truly believes in blogging as democratic and based on great truths and the promotion of positive social movement, is that the facts, theories, and whatnot provided by well-meaning people will be ignored, then mocked, then pigeon-holed by astroturfers. It's basically about attacking the messenger rather than the message, since the messages are based on academic priciples and the desire to truly save the planet. DKos and its offshoots are merely part and parcel of the status quo.

I actually am a bit worried for that lady. She is clearly unbalanced, being manipulated, and heading in a downward spiral. She actually makes donkeytale look like Mr. Rogers in comparison. Talk about a potty mouth and salty, sailor talk.

One problem is that google search results can be manipulated. There are methods used to make sure cached paged are lost. There are also limitations to the wayback machine. E.G., one can plug in political flesh feast and only be able to see a few front pages, nothing more. For some reason, political flesh feast pages aren't showing up one iota in any caches. Did Peeder make sure PFF would go down a memory hole?

One can look at HowardX's posts at DKos and somewhat see what led to him being banned. He was on the "pro-Palestinian" side attacking a woman who claimed that her parents were gravely ill.
Now, granted it was the KosKops who took him out, but according to RustyPipes, it was confirmed that the story was true.
HowardX did nothing for Dave but was a KosKop about it. Just like Melvin of late. He also has tons of posts at DU, but I haven't looked into them yet. Your story, DonkeyTale, does seem to hold water, and for that, I offer you respect.

I saw one line where you said Jack made the right decision, but for the most part, yes, you showed that Dave was aware of the rules and did not feel he had broken them.
Melvin appears to be too over the top with his anger, imho. There is never a shred of vulnerability. I think we display that at times, which makes our writings more accessible to the unwashed readers.
I too believe this is no outlet for nasty ad hominems. The thing I have to be wary of is the Larry Bird rule. Other teams would always send their 11th guy on the bench to try to get both of them thrown out of the game. Larry never fell for that one. I think what you are missing is that the blogosphere does have real world influence. I believe Dave was targeted for two reasons. He brought about the possibility for collective activism. Secondly, he went after the wingnuts from Long Island.
I see FSZ as going back to focusing in on the polarization of the Israel/Palestine issue. I believe that was why the place was first set up. Though, it was also meant to gobble up the PFF mojo.
I also see how Ormond Otvos is seemingly a part of the script. He has a thread up at FSZ for keeping the "Jack" meta in one thread.

I believe what you refer to as 'the right decision" by MattyJack was when he banned dave, I believed temporarily, at the time dave was going to breakkk his momentous disclosure. MattyJack was correct to force dave to make the disclosure on his own blog. I'm a firm believer in mistrust. Mistrust, disbelief, incredulity, these are all excellent traits when applied to all human beings objectively. In other words, apply to your wife kidz, mommy, daddy, grandma, grandpa, and of course:

Hi donkeytale, I have developed my own system for figuring out whether someone is a troll or not. Do they try to clarify rather than obfuscate? Do they ignore tough questions or answer them? Every time I have asked you those kinds of things, you have passed the troll test.
The Celtics are on in a few minutes, so I'll make this brief. Apparently we have been unbanned by Jack. But no way whatsoever will I ever make another post there. None of them pass the troll test. I have uncovered a lot in the last few days. When I get the chance I will write it up at my own forum with probable cross-posts. I think you have done a good job with your cross-posts. In short, because this should be a good hoops game, what we have been accused of, of being troublemakers and sh*t stirrers, just is not the truth. It is beyond the beyond what is going on. It is as if these fockers are studying my ever post and trying their best to make it seem that I am part and parcel of their schemes. Hey, I know that sounds off the wall. She is kind of like Mattes but more influential. Last year she promoted Ron Paul. True lefties do not support Ron Paul and Michael Rivero. They simply don't. It also doesn't help that she is associated with Wayne Madsen and Jeff Wells.

The reason the Celtics won last year is because the big three had always been the big cheese on their teams but had never won anything. They had gotten every kind of respect except for the trophy of being champion. They didn't care about their stats. They bought into the Celtic tradition of teamwork. Good thing too. They are nearing their mid thirties, so it is a small window.
Ainge set it up good, though. Each year one of the big three's contract will be over. So they either resign for less, or they are gone. Marbury is even buying into the team play. The Celtics are winning, imho, because of Ainge. He's been a genius with the draft. Rondo is the real deal. Big Baby Davis is underrated.

We truly havent seen this yet, but after 16 consecutive years of two complete horses asses at the helm, O bama will have a relatively easy time keeping people's support. Like Reagan, in a different way, he connects with people and they will give him the benefit of the doubt. It helps that he is young and African American. No question, he has reversed the tables.

Not remotely as epic or heroic as Wilt vs Russell, but what you gonna do?
Of course, the whole world will want to see Kobe vs. King James in the final.

There is no denying Kobe's ability on many nights he is as great as anybody ever, but not every night.
James, OTOH, is a beast who plays like a combination of Magic and Jordan.

I think Peeder took the easy way out. He should have tried to create a forum and be the man. Hey, find people you trust to be moderators. I know....easier said than done.
The internet is corrupt. Is there even one forum where there is no trolling allowed but without the "state-sponsored" trolling? I don't see it.
If someone could put one of those together, I think Dave even thought about the possibilty, I think it would be a success. But then an astute old timer hippie like you knows that cointelpro ain't no tinfoil theory, that it would take an extraordinary person or people to put such a productive forum together.
Thus it seems like we are trolls, but who can realistically argue that the major forums are any good, that they aren't just out to make money off of the "progressive" brand.

It would be a balancing act. How to protect those who play fair and weed out the bad guys without making too many mistakes.

I spent the weekend in solitude, celebrated a bit after copping plea and avoidng probation or punishment of any kind, sentenced to: time served. 3 lousy daze. RIOTOUS!
I completed the work I needed done, I watched some bball in the evenings, drank some Shiner bohemian black lager and smoked some decent weed, for once. All with the benevolent Frau's most kind permission. As long as I stayed home, out of trouble.

OK. I read where Sejemojo said on camp pffugee that no one had reserved "donkeytale." OK. So I went back in and I typed in donkeytale, went thru all those hoops, created my own password, and read the secret code, "gzodik", I think was mine, and when I submitted it some red words came back saying something like: "invalid username already exists" or wtf. I would have written it down, but like I said, better weed than usual.
Actually, it doesnt really matter whether I'm in or not. In a way, I'm glad I cant get in. Save me lotsa time and trouble. Pffugee Camp looks feels and smells like a waystation.

I think the Noom character was created just for yourself. Part of the reason I didn't trust you for a long time was precisely because of the similarities with misspellings.
Let's refer to it as troll by association.
The problem with soapblox is that it costs at a minimum $15 a month. That's kind of a hefty investment for what should be free. Maybe you should start your own blogspot? Would you be interested in starting one with me? Or one for yourself could be a good outlet for ya. You could put it into your username here. It could be a place for you to write your prose on your own terms, and unwashed masses like us could chip in with comments. Just an idea. It's free.
Why do I think Noom could be a fake? Well, I don't necessarily think everyone who writes anti-Palestinian/pro-occupation posts is necessarily on an operative payroll. But I see that "Revisionist" at Pffugee has Noom in his signature. Noom at MLW made it clear that his username had been messed with by Jack. Wouldn't "Noom" make sure that it's known that Revisionist isn't himself, if they are indeed two separate people?
Then when one looks at Revisionist's blog, they can see it is from the "pro-Palestinian" side. That means this Noom guy, if he is also Revisionist, is playing both sides of the fence. That is how operatives play things.
My idea is of controlled opposition. It's like how I keep harping on the fact that peaceniks, lefties, and thinkers aren't wanted on these forums. Groupthink via easily manipulated herds are desired, along with lots of noise and confusion.
I used to be somewhat flattered when I first got cybersmear/script attention. But this latest round including myself, you, Eric S., and Noom just outright stinks. One must fight back when even it's just a username being unfairly maligned. For good ideas we promote get distorted.
Who is CometMan to be speaking of whackjobs? He went after me for writing that Michael Connell was never threatened by Karl Rove. CometMan is a big supporter of Brett Kimberlin's Velvet Revolution. That means he supports a confidence man raking in cash off of hoaxes surrounding election fraud.
Ensuring fair elections has nothing to do with sexy, tabloid stuff that has no basis in reality. It has to do with gerrymandering, voter roll purges, money, etc..
It is common knowledge that electronic voting machines are unreliable. But to prop up easily debunked hoaxes surrounding them makes it less likely that we will move to hand counted paper ballots.
It's a fill in the blank by association blogosphere. Create an outlet where there are fair rules for dialogue and research, and blogmaids like CometMan won't be able to bully others.
Lauren S did a 180 from being a KosKop to a MajorFlaw nemesis. It fooled a lot of people at first, including Dave. Jack fooled a lot of people at first.
Unless truth and fair play form the bedrock of blogosphere principles, the Mickey Mouse noise chambers will continue to obfuscate internet fraud.
